Privacy notice
This notice covers the realmlint website and its waitlist. The realmlint command-line tool runs on your own machine, makes no network calls and collects nothing.
Who is responsible
Elvis Dagadu, who builds realmlint. Contact: elvis@realmlint.com.
What the waitlist collects
- Your email address.
- Your answers to the two optional questions, if you give them.
- The time you signed up, and which link brought you here if the address contained one (for example
?utm_source=newsletter). - Whether and when you confirmed your address.
Nothing else. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from other websites. GitHub, which hosts the site, receives standard server logs such as IP addresses, under GitHub's privacy statement.
Why, and on what basis
To email you when hosted realmlint is ready to try, and occasionally to ask what you need from it. The legal basis is your consent, which you give with the checkbox on the form and confirm through the link we email you. You can withdraw it at any time.
After you sign up we send one email asking you to confirm your address, so nobody can add you without your agreement. If you do not confirm within 7 days, your details are deleted.
Where it is stored
In a private Google Sheet in realmlint's Google Workspace account. Google processes it on our behalf. It is not sold, shared or used for advertising.
How long it is kept
Unconfirmed signups are deleted after 7 days. Confirmed signups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. If hosted realmlint is not built, the list is deleted within 12 months of that decision.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing elvis@realmlint.com. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority where you live.
